Two weeks in one shot

I know, I’m like 2 weeks behind on keeping this updated.  In a nutshell, Korby and Innoruuk are both done with the Argent valient quests, having become a champion of every city.  Aaeru is 67, just learned basic flying on her thanks to today’s patch.  Did a handful of heroics on Innoruuk, replaced most of his greens with BoE blues that dropped.  Korby got a BoE Uld25 head, and legs from the new Trial of the Champion 5 man heroic.  Also built Jeeves today, but I think I’ll still carry around some Scrapbots because the 2 hour cooldown on Jeeves is kind of annoying.  Been diligently performing gylph research on Dalkado every day, so I have probably half or more of the minors.  I guess daily dungeons are something I’ll be doing again now, since I get two Triumphs from it.  I’m also 30 Conquests away from buying the chest piece, so that’s a goal as well for me.

One more to go

Got Innoruuk to 79, doing only quests in the lower half of Northrend (Borean, Dragonblight, Howling, and Grizzly).  I’m getting the feeling I’m just going to have to bite the bullet on this and buy his basic flying now, instead of waiting for the patch.  Yeah, I know it’s only like 200g more now, and I am making money easily now that I’m doing the Argent Tournament quests, it still just bugs me to spend money that I don’t have to.

Also hit up a DTK PUG and got him a Troll Butcherer.  The group was entirely Paladins and Death Knights, and somehow, amazingly, I was the only one that needed it.

Argent Tournaround

Forty-eight hours ago if you had asked me what I thought of the Argent Tournament, I would have told you that it was the most annoying difficult thing in all of WoW.  Now I am a master and I love it.

Big big thank you to Noctes, who wrote this strategy at WoWHead.  It completely turned around my opinion of this thing.

Overachieving

What did I do today?  Let’s look at my new achievements!

Well, actually, the first thing I accomplished doesn’t get an achievement, even though it really should.  I maxed out fishing at 450 while trying for a turtle mount.  Nope, didn’t get the mount yet.  While I was doing that though, somebody in guild asked if anybody wanted in on a Sarth 3D raid.  Hell yes, I did.  Well, Sarth 3D turned into Sarth 0D with 20 people, so we got the Heroic: Less Is More achievement.  First thing we rolled on was the Large Satchel of Spoils.

Yeah, a perfect 100.  Inside were 5 Valor tokens, which gave me my 50 Emblems of Valor achievement.  I was also outrolled on a gloves token that dropped.  I spent 25 of them on a Ring of Invincibility, which finally gave me full epic gear.  Good bye Mobius Band.

Then I started playing with WoWHead’s new profiler.  I loaded my stuff from the Armory, scrolled down, and there were all these red marks on my list of gear.  I had 7 things that weren’t enchanted.  So I went enchant shopping, and corrected that omission.

The last of those enchants that I bought took me to Icecrown for the Knights of the Ebon Blade head enchant.  I did the dailies there, just because I could, and then flew to the Argent Tournament Grounds.  I hate the Argent Tournament, but I’d been doing the non-mounted combat dailies, so I was able to the Gnomeregan Champion quest, and got the ‘of Gnomeregan’ title as well as my slaveboy.  I guess I’ve figured out how to defeat the mounted NPCs, but damn, it just kills my arm.  I get so focused on hitting the buttons to beat the guy, that my muscles just tense up and it feels like I’ve been lifting weights after about 5 fights.  I amazingly managed to defeat an Ironforge champion, so just 9 more factions to go for that achievement.

I headed back to Dalaran after the dailies reset and finished off the night with the 25 Dalaran Cooking Awards achievement.
